the Mother teller

A space for mothers & photographers to creatively reimagine how children will remember their childhood, by learning how to capture the art of mundane motherhood.

What if you could intentionally craft the exact memories and feelings your children will remember and revisit forever, as you live them in every moment of your own mundane motherhood?

As a mother, the way you tell your children's childhood stories can make a long lasting impact on how they will remember them

Countless everyday moments happening right before your eyes, can potentially become the memories you hold in your hands in thirty years time. Reminding you both of how fleeting time really is and the emotion shared between you in those moments.

What if I told you that it was easier than you realise to own your inner creative and take control of the stories your children will remember. All while being right there beside them in the moment and in the frame?

Without intentional spaces for mothers to nurture their creativity and learn the art of capturing their own unique perspective of everyday motherhood, it’s no wonder so many mothers feel unworthy of being the one to bring their family’s memories to life.

Here’s where I see mothers doubt themselves…

You hold onto insecurities

You feel those insecurities arise when in front of the camera, so you avoid getting in the frame with your children more than you care to admit…

..resulting in your children missing the memories of you!

You put high expectations on yourself & Lack confidence in your shooting abilities

You set high expectations for yourself and believe you can’t create ‘worthy’ or ‘good enough’ memories for your children.

Your confidence is already there within you, I promise.
It just needs to be nurtured.

Your stuck in comparison

You get stuck in the thief of comparison - that you don’t have ‘good enough’ equipment or the ability to capture the moment well.

So you shy back, wait and wish someone else could create the magic for you, missing so many special moments along the way.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

You no longer have to miss out on capturing all of the magical moments that adorn these days of your own mundane motherhood.

Let me show you how..

Hello, I’m Jenna!

Mother to two wild souls and a passionate photographer capturing the intimate stories and bonds between mothers + their children, in an authentic and artistic way. Though I too am capturing life’s precious memories alongside my own mundane mothering journey and it kills me to think that some mothers feel that they don’t have what it takes to create the memories of those everyday moments their kids will forever look back on.

So here I am, putting both my experience and joy into those who value heartfelt art and I cannot wait to welcome you into your very own Mother Teller journey.

The Mother Teller is for you if;

  • ☽ You are the everyday mother longing for a creative outlet within the mundane of mothering small children.

  • ☽ A creative at heart yearning to be able to preserve the everyday memories of your own.

  • ☽ You're ready to simply learn it all or evolve in your photography journey

  • ☽ You've been longing for a creative community & safe space to share while being supported along the way.

Do I need to be a photographer to join The Mother Teller?

No you do not. I have created this container for those who are new to photography, are a mother or possibly are deep into their photography journey - yet wish to capture the mundane moments more creatively. We start at the beginning and work through the challenges together.

I don’t have a fancy camera, can I join?

Absolutely!!! You do not need to have all the mod-cons to be joining this. I encourage people of all skills and equipment (iPhone included) as I do not believe that you need to have the newest, fanciest, most expensive tools to tell a great story with photography.

How long does the course go for?

This is a self paced membership that encourages you with different tools and topics each month. The basics of photography modules are there for you to access and run through at any pace you wish, as well as to come back to time and time again.

I don’t have children yet, is it for mothers only?

While this is centred around mothers capturing their everyday mundane, being a mother is not a requirement! If you are someone who simply loves storytelling through imagery and would like to join the membership + community for a more creative approach to the mundane, I highly encourage you to join us.
