Documenting the end of their feeding journey…

A time amongst big growth brewing for the two of them as they steered closer and closer to the end of their journey of breastfeeding.
Such a transformational and bittersweet time for them both. Instead of seeing the day come and go, they decided on a beautiful sentiment to document that deep bond before it was over. They say that a mother spends 1,800 hours a year of breastfeeding - considering that a 40-hour work week with three weeks of vacation comes in at 1,960 hours of work time a year, that is a lot of time spent spent with their souls bonding in that way! Being a mother myself who had been through this time & documenting it through self portraiture only a mere feed away from the last time, it was such an honour to capture this beautiful milestone and truly be in witness of the bond that was between them.
From the beginning of the session, we laughed, played, adventured and sunk into the earth together as we captured the spontaneity of a bond so deep…
