FAQs

  • All collections are delivered via a “zip” file, which I recommend downloading and saving via computer - I then save to Dropbox which is more easily accessible via computer-to-mobile.
For all desktop collections you will require the latest version of Lightroom CC or Classic which is run via a subscription basis.
For all mobile collections you will require the Lightroom mobile app which is free to use.

  • For all desktop collections you will require a subscription to Adobe Lightroom - approx $14p/mth

  • Once you have made your purchase you will have 24 hours to download your “zip” file.
I always recommend using a computer for this process as it is more accessible to unlocking the files and saving them.
Once you have downloaded them you will then be able to access the How To Guide that is included with each collection.

  • All Opal Preset collections are made up of 5-9 presets. This is simply because one preset will NOT work across every single image you take. And this is a good thing!
I always recommend playing around with your image, using different presets from different collections and seeing what works for that exact image and adjusting it to suit the style you desire.

  • While I would love for every image using these presets to reflect them like I do - that will never be possible as every creative has a different eye and that to me is incredible.
Each and every photographer will be using different camera settings to expose their image in the way that works for their style, meaning the presets will look different on every single image and I will always recommend you to play around with the different collections and settings in Lightroom after you have chosen a desired preset to achieve the style you are wanting for that particular image.

  • The desktop only collections like Rewilding and Wildfire are a very artistic style not for the faint hearted and will require a RAW image to edit. These collections have been kept as a desktop only version as they do require a little more attention to detail that more often then not will not be achieved by using an iPhone and I do not want the presets to be mis-used in a way that scares the user off them.

  • Absolutely. If you have any questions about your collections and using them, please email hello@opalimagerystudio.com with your query - please include your order number with your email so I can see what collection/s you are using to better assist me in answering.
